As I'm bubbling I have wondered about aloe as a lubricant. I have an aloe plant and it's slippery all all get out. So is okra. I know that using okra in bubbles seems gross, but the slime that it makes is far more slippery than any of the lubes I've used.

Just curious if anyone else has had thoughts along these lines....

NO SLUG SLIME...agh! I never did try the Okra, J-lube does the trick. I'm conflicted on Glycerin and generally decided to stop using it. But I still sometimes end up adding some.
I don't use tsp (had wondered at one time about it). I've also had luck with adding Jello mix but it has too many drawbacks (ants in the hood). Unflavored gelatin also works.
I was just reading about xantham gum....will have to check that out.

My bubbles would slowly stretch from one side of the street to the other and beyond. I live in SW Florida... basically a flatlander with high humidity. I like to wait for cooler weather so they have lift. Some bubble batches that I've used at night will actually roll a bit on the road before popping. One evening a gentleman from Haiti was heading down my street and became frightened because he couldn't figure out what he was seeing (remember, my bubbles are low and slow). He thought that they were some type of ghosts. I realized there was a problem and called out to reassure him. When we finally met up, he kept holding his heart and smiling with relief to find out that they were giant bubbles.
